Not Forever, Just For Now: Atlas Sound w/Noah Lennox and Cymbals Eat Guitars

Atlas Sound “Walkabout (with Noah Lennox)”
I meant to write about this Atlas Sound song when I first got it, but alas I forgot. But I’m still addicted to it, so it’s still worth mentioning. Atlas Sound is Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox’s side project. “Walkabout” with Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) is a really incredible song from the upcoming Atlas Sound record, but sounds pretty much like a Panda Bear song – and I’m skeptical about Cox’s real involvement, since it sounds right out of the Lennox playbook. Anyhow, it’s an amazingly addicting song that uses a sample from an old Pastel’s track

Cymbals Eat Guitars “Indiana”
This is a band that I had about a million chances to see during the 100 Bands project, but never did. Then I came across their record Why There Are Mountains and turns out it’s totally decent. Here’s a sample track. Check them out.
