Little To No Trouble In Big China

‘你好’ or nǐ hǎo !  I’m taking a break from honoring cult TV shows and hating on ‘Twilight’ for a round the world research tour.  The first stop was San Francisco, where groups were had, Papalote salsa was eaten, hotel bar d-bags were avoided and a cherished hat was lost.  If anyone finds an old cashmere Banana Republic grey winter hat- be good to that rascal, as he’s seen me through all sorts of hijinks (yes, hijinks for me often involve big meals and naps.  Less Dennis the Menace, more Mr. Wilson).

Pitcher
I am now in Shanghai, stop #2 on the trip.  There have been many soup dumplings eaten.  Bok Choy coveted on street corners.  A few attempts to speak basic Chinese, with embarrassing results.  And this awesome pitcher, which was in the research facility where I’ve spent most of my time for the past few days.  I’m both happy and shamed to say that gorging on kit-kats is a phenomenon that happens in facilities around the globe.  Tomorrow, I plan to take a break from the awesome WK Shanghai office and do some touristy things.  I’ll report back on cute boutiques, tall buildings and yes, more soup dumplings in the next few days.  In the interim, no one spoil anything TV-related, as I haven’t turned on my hotel TV in almost two weeks.  Shock and awe, ya’ll!

A very different version of the American Panda Express. Isn't that just the happiest panda you've ever seen?!?
