The headline really says it all. Carla Bruni is a famous model, former paramour of Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger, and a fairly well-respected singer-songwriter. And yes, she’s married to the French President. Her filofax is pretty hectic. I bet she doesn’t have the time to watch ‘Pretty Woman’ every time it’s on TBS, just so she can say ‘Can I call you Eddie?’.
Anyway, she was promoting her new album on a TV show and she performed the Moldy Peaches’ ‘Anyone Else But You’ (of Cera+Page ‘Juno’ fame) with some French heartthrob dude.
Kimya Dawson was gleeful. French audiences swooned. As for me? It’s no cover of ‘Mother and Child Reunion‘, but it’s kind of fun to hear.
